Dr. Stephenson graduated from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where she achieved the Doctor of Medicine degree with Research Honors, including completion of a student fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Her residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center culminated with the Resident’s Resident Award and propelled her practice into underserved areas of Texas, Arizona, Central America, Southeast Asia, and New Zealand, along with success in private practice and academic medicine.

Dr. Stephenson thrives on helping others achieve well-being through practicing the art and science of medicine. She fulfills her passions for medicine and adventure in having cared for over 100,000 patients in settings including: a Marae in New Zealand, under triple canopy jungles of Guatemala, inside a mobile unit traversing Texas mine fields, and on a Paramount Pictures’ set. Her clinical research in women’s health and healthy aging has been featured in: Family Practice News, Cardiology News, Ob/Gyn News, Medscape, UK News Digest, and The Cleveland Clinic Heart & Brain Summit.

Fun Facts: Dr. Stephenson and her husband enjoy travelling and spending time with their three adult children.
